Creamy Curried Kumera

Creamy Curried Kumera

1 small onion, grated
1 clove garlic
1 cup cooked chickpeas
2 medium kumera, scrubbed and chopped
1 tsp fenugreek
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp cumin
chilli powder to taste (optional)
oil

Heat oil in a pot and gently fry onion, garlic and spices, add kumera, chickpeas and water to cover.
Simmer gently until kumera falls apart and liquid is reduced then season and cream with a stick blender.

  1. I made this and added pumpkin too...my kids devoured it! We had it two nights in a row cos I made a huge batch!
